Radio Amateur, licenced since 1989, own the callsign DL1BKE since 1991, member of the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC).

Computers

I started on an Amstrad CPC6128 with CP/M, own an AMD K6 II and K5-PR166 nowadays. I am a member of the Computer Club Aachen.

Linux

Kernel hacker since 1993, wrote a network device driver for the BayCom USCC (and other Z8530 based boards), implemented the DAMA slave for kernel AX.25 and wrote a few more things.

Photography and Video

With the advent of usable and affordable DSLRs I've become an avid photographer again. Recently I discovered my love for moving pictures, hence I'm also learning how to use an HDV camera.

Nature

Member of Germany's greatest society for nature conservation since 1979, former activist of the youth section, addicted to birds and wolves.
