- What is a parlor comic?
its when a group of artist get together. and write a comic. the twist
is that there is no given plot or direction to take. each artist shows
his/her own style and adds a bit to the plot as the story progresses.
I got the idea from Fantum when he showed me this.
and also ripped off Peggy's
idea as well.
- Who is in it and When does it start?
The four artists that have decided to do the first rounds are: Patrick
RavenWulf, Slicewolf,
Fantom, Taleron
And Immortal-Pain.
- What are the Rules?
The only rules that are set in place are for content ratings. IE, trying
to keep it under a strong R rating.
- The comic is plot and visual intensive.
- Each panel is a thoroughly worked on and is a "complete"
drawing.(again, because its visually themed)
- Each artist gets about 2 weeks to work and finish his or her panel.
- the comic will run for 15 pages, thats not bad for five artists
are participating. each does 3 pages total. Though if it gets good
enough, the story can be expanded for more pages.
- Why this? isn't the ambush enough?
Where the Ambush's focus is on spontaneity, "off the cuff" and down
and dirty sketches. The parlor comic is slower, calmly thought out,
and more time is spent on drawings.
